System Support Engineer
We are seeking bright, talented and passionate System Support Engineer for our Security team
We are seeking a dedicated system support engineer with 2 to 3 yrs exp in system support for our Internal support team. We seek an individual that possesses outstanding attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills and should be an all-rounder and willing to expand their horizon to other related areas this role demands. The candidate should be ready to work in 24/7 shifts.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform basic 1st line support functions for Windows & MacOS, including:
- Desktop & laptop OS, application, installation & troubleshooting
- Desktop & laptop hardware and network troubleshooting
- Triaging help desk support tickets
- Perform core IT operational infrastructure support functions, including:
- Monitor and triaging alerts generated by automated infrastructure monitoring systems
- Be agile & act according to defined timelines on High importance alerts
- Running vulnerability scans and handling virus issues
- Patching of Windows and Linux systems
- Assist with decommissioning of systems
- Fulfill customer service requests including:
- Assisting with file ownership changes & storage requests
- Processing customer backup & restore requests
- Generating reports per defined requirements and schedules
- Liaise & collaborate with internal IT technical & operational teams
- Assist asset management team:
- Hardware and software asset management changes
- Track & process License renewals
- Understanding operational process requirements and adhere to them.
- Apply pre-defined standard IT service operations process and procedures as required to fulfill common technical requests raised by the client.
Skills and Requirements
- Knowledge on Windows 10/11
- Knowledge on MacOS
- Knowledge on MS Office 365 and other industry standard applications
- Must have good communication and verbal skills
- Experience working on Windows Server and Linux OS would an advantage
Work timings
- UK shifts on Indian working days
- Saturday & Sunday fixed offs but must have to come based on need
- Must work on India national and festival holidays on rota basis. Additional benefits will be provided
