Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary
We are looking for a proactive and innovative Linux DevOps Senior Engineer who is passionate about automation, security, and driving continuous enhancements in Linux infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
- Linux Administration: Manage and maintain Red Hat Linux platforms.
- Automation & Deployment: Implement and optimize automation using Puppet Enterprise and Ansible.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve Linux system issues, working collaboratively across teams.
- Performance & Stability: Plan and execute changes to enhance system performance, availability, and security.
- Security & Compliance: Perform system hardening, patching, vulnerability management, and mitigation.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Deploy and maintain system monitoring tools like Zabbix and CimTrak.
- Scripting & Documentation: Develop and maintain shell, Python, or Ruby scripts for automation and create clear system documentation.
- Identify gaps in processes and technology, propose innovative solutions, and drive their implementation.
- Support VMware troubleshooting and operations as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for critical Linux infrastructure as needed.
Skills and Requirements
- Expertise in Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience building, configuring, and managing OpenShift and/or Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with configuration management tools , such as Puppet Enterprise and or Ansible.
- Passion for optimizing and improving IT environments—always looking for better ways to do things.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, including developers, system engineers, and business partners.
Bonus Points
- Experience with LDAP, SSSD, and Kerberos.
- Experience with NFS file systems.
- Understanding of DevOps culture.
- Knowledge of IT security frameworks such as ISO27001.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with source control (GitLab).
- RHCE or RHCSA certification.
