Jess Horning is a Sales Operations Admin at Celebrus. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Jess is part of the Sales team and has been with the company for 10 months. Celebrus caught up with Jess to learn more about this experiences, hear his thoughts about Celebrus and its offerings, and shine light on a secret not many people know about him.

What experience did you bring with you to Celebrus?

Jess: I have over 20 years of sales experience. I’ve worked with many different types of organizations from small B to C startups to massive B to B global companies and everything in between. 

Why did you join Celebrus?

Jess: I’ve recently pivoted my sales career into a more operations-based role over the past few years. I learned to love administering sales software tools. Joining Celebrus gave me the opportunity to continue doing what I love and the excitement of being in a startup environment. 

What’s your favorite part about working at Celebrus?

Jess: My favorite part is the amazing team of people with incredible skills that can be channeled into the production, distribution, and support of a very special business-enhancing product. The Celebrus product is amazing and scaling it as a cloud offering will let a wider client base experience the rich functionality available and maximize business benefit.

How would you describe our company culture and what makes it unique?

Jess: I would describe the culture as kind and compassionate.

What does your role entail and what do you focus on at Celebrus?

Jess: At Celebrus, I focus on setting up our go-to-market software to remove departmental silos via data. I work with our teams to refine sales processes to align with marketing and eliminate anything that slows down our revenue generating ability.

What is one thing that you wish people knew about your position at the company?

Jess: I wish more people knew how difficult and important it is to maintain a clean, manageable CRM database. There are countless resources wasted on bad CRM data.

Describe the most random object sitting on your desk (what’s the story behind it?)

Jess:  I have a giant quartz crystal on my desk under my monitor. It was given to me by one of my closest spiritual companions. Metaphysically, quartz is meant to cleanse your chakras, protect against negative energies, and connect with higher levels of consciousness.

What is one thing on your bucket list?

Jess: Some day I would love to have a unique, ultra-modern house custom built just for me. My college degree is in interior design, and I am passionate about the arts and all things beautiful. It would be incredible to help design my very own creative living space.

If you could pick one destination for a spontaneous vacation, where would it be and why?

Jess:  If I had to pick one, I would go to The Bahamas. They have some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and its 80 degrees there year round.
