
Lakshmi Kumar - Employee Spotlight

Lakshmi Kumar is Lead Infrastructure Engineer on the Security team at Celebrus. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, he’s been with the company for more than seven years.
Celebrus caught up with Lakshmi to learn why he joined the company, hear more about his position, and catch a glimpse of his life outside the work environment.
First up, why did you join Celebrus?
Lakshmi: I joined for the ample opportunities in infrastructure engineering, both on-premises and in the cloud, as well as the exposure to new technologies and the integration of security aspects.
Tell us about your position. What do you do, what’s surprised you most, and what do you wish people knew about your role?
Lakshmi: As an infrastructure engineer, I emphasize on-premises and cloud infrastructure engineering with a focus on security. What’s surprised me most about the position is the opportunity to learn new technology and engage in automation. As far as what I want others to know, I wish people knew about the strategic role my position plays in ensuring the seamless integration of security measures across our infrastructure.
How would you describe our company culture? What’s your favorite part about working for Celebrus?

What’s something surprising others might not know about you?
Lakshmi: During my college days, I ran my father’s handloom goods business — Vel Exports — for a few months. Due to family commitments, I couldn't continue the business, but I managed to complete two shipments to Bangkok.
Spontaneity is the spice of life! If you could pick one vacation destination, where would it be and why?
Kodaikanal (India), for its serene landscapes, pleasant weather, and the opportunity to experience nature in a tranquil setting.
