Madhu is a Finance Manager at Celebrus. Based in Chennai, India, he is part of the Finance team and has been with the company for seven years. Celebrus caught up with Madhu to learn more about his experiences, hear his thoughts about Celebrus and its offerings, and shine light on a secret not many people know about him.

 Clear and positive attitude to support the organization, along with 13 years of prolific experience in Finance, Accounts & Taxations

Why did you join Celebrus?

Celebrus gave me a glorious offer and workplace where I felt confident to improve my knowledge, skills, and financial situation.

What is your favorite part about working at our company?

Work environment and the company’s policy over employees. I joined here in Celebrus about 7 years ago. My confidence level has improved a lot and more importantly communicating with UK & US people has improved my communication (not only language) but also approach. My work keeps me engaged and the company adopts a really friendly culture. 

How would you describe our company culture and what makes it unique?

I would say Celebrus ‘s culture is A1. I feel the unique thing is there is no pressure from management on employees despite the important tasks that I have.

What does your role entail and what do you focus on at Celebrus?

My role is more engaged with Accounts – bookkeeping, taxation and compliance of the India branch office and I am focusing on compliance which includes presenting true and fair books and tax compliance which aims to ensure the company maintains strength in their financial situation.

What has surprised you most about your current role?

Just how much support and guidance I have from management both in India and UK. We have recently gone through a company name change and a change in office to which the support in achieving this has been brilliant.

What is one thing that you wish people knew about your position at the company?

The importance of my tasks, since I play a vital role in the company’s compliance and filings to local statutory authorities in India.

What excites you most about the data-driven solutions that Celebrus offers to customers and provides to customers?

I have been looking at the company’s revenue, most importantly ARR (Annual recurring revenue) which hasn’t dipped down ever since I was in this company. I believe it’s due to our data security i.e. ISMS and data protection activity and business continuity planning by the leadership team.

Describe the most random object sitting on your desk (what’s the story behind it?)

I picked a book from the library, “Brilliant Time Management.” which has been there on my desk for quite some time which I intend to read someday! 😊

Also, my prayer picture is there on my desk which I always bow down to.

What is one thing on your bucket list?

Learning: Excel sheet improvements, develop taxation and compliance skills in a better way.

If you could pick one destination for a spontaneous vacation, where would it be and why?

 Place in Eastern India - Shillong, Meghalaya.

What is something surprising that not many people know about you?                

Many people based on my speaking think that I am very calm in nature, but I can show my lively side too, this is mainly when I am outside of work.
