Nandhini Devi Pandian is a software tester and part of Celebrus’ Product Development team. She’s based in Chennai, India, and has been with the company for more than four years.

Celebrus caught up with Nandhini to learn more about her role, hear her thoughts about the company’s culture, and get the full scoop about the little companion who lives on her desk.

Why did you join Celebrus?

Nandhini: I was attracted to the company's commitment to fostering growth and providing a platform for young professionals to thrive. When I joined Celebrus as a fresher, I was enthusiastic about embarking on my career in software testing. Over the past four years, I’ve had numerous opportunities to expand my skill set by working on impactful projects and collaborating with talented individuals across various teams.

Tell us about your current role. What do you do and what’s surprised you most about the position?

Nandhini: As a software tester, I ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software products. I’m involved in various aspects of the testing lifecycle including designing test cases, executing tests, and identifying and reporting bugs. What’s surprised me most is the evolving nature of the testing landscape! In the ever-changing world of software development, staying updated on the latest testing tools and techniques has become a crucial part of my role. The constant evolution keeps my work interesting and challenging.  

What do you wish people knew about your position?

Nandhini: That it requires deep analytical thinking and attention to detail. My role takes a strategic approach to ensuring the quality of the software, so each test scenario is meticulously crafted, and every test case is designed to identify issues and understand the broader impacts on the user experience and system functionality.

What’s your favorite part about working at Celebrus?

Nandhini: The vibrant and collaborative work culture! Having the opportunity to work with talented individuals across various departments has been integral to my professional growth. I also appreciate the company’s focus on continuous learning. From training programs to workshops and internal knowledge-sharing sessions, Celebrus encourages its employees to grow personally and professionally.

Nandhini: On my desk, you’ll find a delightful little Pillayar (Lord Ganesha) statue. It’s my favorite desk buddy and a cherished companion that’s been with me through countless projects and deadlines. I like to think of it as a symbol of positivity and a reminder that challenges are just steppingstones to success.

Lastly, what’s something we might not know about you?

Nandhini: I have a passion for yoga. It's a personal commitment that’s brought unexpected benefits not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. It's a journey of self-discovery and a practice that continues to surprise me with its transformative effects.
