Have you drawn professional inspiration from other women? Tell us about someone who has inspired you.
Yes, I started my career at a very young age and my 1st female boss who was the Director of Service Operations was my inspiration. Karen was kind, honest, compassionate, helpful, confident, always had her teams back during the good and the bad, she didn’t shy away or sit quietly amongst her male peers if she did not agree with them but worked alongside them to produce an agreeable solution and they respected her for that. She was the ideal leader and taught me a lot throughout my career making me stronger and confident.
What do you think are the benefits of having empowered women in the organization?
Gender equality, diverse teams are more innovative, emotional intelligence.
How do you manage work-life balance. Your tips and tricks?
Choosing the right company that understands work life balance is key, enjoying what I do day-to-day, setting boundaries, knowing my values and self-worth, scheduling down time and planning vacations in advance.
